Myla aims to reduce the impact of domestic violence by sending an SMS to the victim's contact list or the police. Once all the settings are made in the iOS app, the analog sound level meter will constantly detect the environment sound level. If the sound level exceeds 75dB at least five times in a thirty-second time frame, the user’s information will be read from Cloud Firestore in Firebase. An SMS will then be sent to the user verifying if this is a real alarm. If it is a false alarm, the user can turn off the alarm in the app. However, if the alarm is not turned off in a certain amount of time, a text alert will be sent to the contact list or/and the police. Another alert will be sent to the user stating that the contact list was informed about the incident.
